(English) WP4 will discuss if therapeutic efficacy of herbal medicines can be screened in innovative in silico models or cell-based models of diseases, through applying functional genomics and bioinformatics techniques. Since functional genomics strategy has the capacity to provide a whole picture of the changes at the molecular level, it will also be discussed whether the mechanisms of action of CHM can be better explained by using these high-throughput assays. By combining the activity assays and high-throughput full-profile molecular assays, it will also be of interest to see if new series of therapeutic targets can be discovered.
